‘Whatever I said’ about take that, ‘I didn't mean it’!
'Greatest Days' is a musical perfect for audience of all ages, even those who didn't grow up on Take That. Watching a group of young girls obsessed with a boy band reminded me of my phases, excited at the opportunity that I could see my favourite pop group in concert one day. Being the age of those girls now, I hope I can reunite with my friends in 25 years to see this smash hit musical once again. It just requires ‘a little patience', but a show that can 'shine' like this is well worth the wait!
The Wales Millennium Centre offers a wide range of performances. Having little to no knowledge of Take That - This show wasn't what I'd usually choose for a night out. However - From the moment the curtains raised, I knew I'd 'Never Forget' this performance.
“An Extremely Relatable Show For All Ages”

'Greatest Days' reminds the audience there has always been boy band fanatics throughout the years, giving us old One Direction fans in the crowd a reminder of what came first! Seeing the girls get ready with the songs playing on the radio, hairbrush microphones in hand, gave me a sense of nostalgia I'd long forgotten about.
The storyline was rich with heart, only amplified by the brilliant cast. ‘Kym Marsh’ took spotlight to every scene she entered, embodying a true sense of defiance against society and truly embracing her youth! It is evident they the whole team had a brilliant time in this performance, not only through their incredible acting but the clear chemistry shared between the actors. was lucky to meet with a few after the performance and they were just as lovely as they were on stage! With their exceptional talent, their roles showed the trials of adolescence and adulthood which anyone in the audience can relate to. The raw emotion portrayed by all involved was 'Worth a Million Love Songs'. They managed to make me laugh, cry and miss a decade wasn't even around for!

One thing I was blown away by was the set. 'Could it be magic'? Because it felt it! The staging was so dynamic, it made the set itself feel alive and growing with the characters as we watch them travel from schools up north to a stadium in Athens.
The lighting made me feel like I was really in the stadium, seeing 'The Boys' live! In all honesty, I lost myself during a scene and actually cheered when one of the boy band members did a back flip - 1 thought I was at concert in that moment! On that note, the choreography was impeccable. This musical will have you dancing along in your seats, though keeping up with 'The Boys' would be a challenge in itself!
'Greatest Days' presents the audience with a reality we all face, we all grow up. In the musical, we follow friends separated through time. We see something we all experience. However, this shows us that those dreams and aspirations as a child never really go away. They only grow as we do and become something more than we ever thought they could. I couldn't help but look forward to my future after this performance, more assured that my younger self, singing one direction in our room, would be happy of where am now.
If you want a show that will bring you back to a time of sitting in front of the radio, missing the first few seconds of the song on your cassette tape. This is the show for you. Audiences, young and old, get ready to sing and dance to the 90s. 'It only takes a minute' to book tickets for a night like this one, you won't regret it!
