THE NATIONAL AT CARDIFF CASTLE
GRAMMY-Award winning US indie rockers The National delivered an incredible headline show for TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle.
The American quintet, who have enjoyed more than 20 years success both sides of the Atlantic, delighted their adoring fans at the iconic venue with a hit-packed set.
Opening with Runaway, Eucalyptus and Tropic Morning News, the Cincinnati natives continued with such incredible tracks as The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness, Abel, Day I Die and Fake Empire before a four-song encore including Lights Years and About Today.
New Zealand psychedelic rock band Unknown Mortal Orchestra superbly opened the show.
Next up at Cardiff Castle is two consecutive sold-out double headlining shows with Manic Street Preachers and Suede on Friday and Saturday, followed by JLS, Rick Astley, IDLES, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Madness, Tom Grennan and Anne-Marie. In addition Catfish and the Bottlemen are playing two sold-out consecutive shows later in the montyh.
